Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy was last updated on August 8, 2026.
The short version
Queue exists to help you keep in touch with people you care about, and that means trusting it with sensitive information. So here’s the deal: your data is yours. We never sell it, we never show you ads, and we collect only what Queue needs to work. The most sensitive information Queue can access — your iMessages, email, and call history — is processed entirely on your Mac and never reaches our servers. We charge money for Queue precisely so that this remains true.
Who we are
Queue is made by Lubin Labs, Inc. (“Lubin Labs”, “we”, “us”, “our”). This policy covers the Queue apps for iOS and macOS, the queue.community website (the “Site”), and related services (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you consent to the practices described here, including the processing of your information on servers located in the United States.
Information we collect
Account information: When you create a Queue account, we collect your name, email address, and sign-in credentials via Sign in with Apple or Google. We use this to operate your account, sync your data across your devices, and contact you about the Services.
Your relationship data: The contacts you add to Queue, along with the notes, groups, catch-up schedules, important dates, and meeting records you create, are stored on our servers so they can sync across your devices. This information exists solely to provide Queue’s features to you. We never sell it, share it for advertising, or use it for anything other than running the Services.
iMessage, Phone, FaceTime, and Apple Mail sync (Mac only): If you enable syncing in the Queue app for macOS, you grant the app read-only access to specific folders on your Mac: one containing your iMessage conversations, one containing your Phone and FaceTime call history, and one containing your Apple Mail. You can grant any combination of these. Here is exactly what happens with that data:
Your message and email content is analyzed locally on your Mac, using on-device Apple Foundation Models, to determine which messages belong together as a conversation, whether you appear to be caught up with someone, and — if you turn summaries on — to generate a short summary of the conversation. Message and email content itself never leaves your Mac and is never sent to our servers. Our servers store only timestamps and participant information (who you connected with and when), which is what allows Queue to keep your queue up to date. Summaries, if you enable them, are generated on your Mac and stored in your private iCloud database, which only you and your devices can read — Lubin Labs has no access to them. Email thread subject lines, and the message identifiers Queue uses to open a thread back up in the Mail app, are stored the same way: in your private iCloud database, never on our servers. You can turn iMessage, Phone, FaceTime, Mail, and summary syncing on or off independently, per person or entirely, at any time, and you can revoke Queue’s folder access in macOS System Settings.
Apple Calendar: If you grant Queue access to your calendar on your iPhone or Mac, Queue reads your events on-device to recognize one-on-one meetings with the people in your queue and logs those meetings as catch-ups. Details of matched meetings (such as the event title and time) are stored on our servers as part of your relationship data so they sync across your devices. Events that don’t involve someone in your queue are never uploaded, and suggestions to add the people you meet with are generated entirely on your device. You can turn calendar syncing off in the app at any time and revoke calendar access in your device’s settings.
Google Calendar and Contacts: If you connect a Google account, Queue uses your Google Calendar data to recognize meetings with your contacts and log catch-ups, and your Google Contacts data to help you add people to your queue. Queue’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect your Google account at any time in the app.
LinkedIn information: If you use Queue’s LinkedIn features, Queue looks up public profile information (such as names, titles, companies, and profile photos) for the connections you choose to sync. These lookups are performed through a third-party data provider, which receives the profile identifiers needed to perform the lookup. Queue stores the resulting public profile information with your contacts so it can show you career updates.
Usage analytics: The Queue apps send us anonymized product-usage events (for example, that a feature was used or a screen was viewed) through our analytics providers, Segment and Mixpanel. These events describe how the app is used so we can improve it. They never include message content, notes, summaries, or the personal details of your contacts.
Payments: Subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s App Store and managed on our behalf by RevenueCat. We receive subscription status information (such as whether your subscription is active) but never see your payment card details, which are handled entirely by Apple.
The website: queue.community uses Plausible, an open-source, privacy-first analytics tool, to count visits in aggregate — which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from. It sets no cookies, collects no personal information, and does not follow you across the web. The site has no advertising trackers of any kind.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to provide and sync the Services across your devices, send you the reminders and notifications you’ve asked for, respond to your support requests, understand how Queue is used so we can improve it, and send you occasional product updates by email (every one of which includes an unsubscribe link, which we honor immediately). We may use de-identified, aggregated statistics — like the total number of Queue users — to understand and describe the Services. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it for advertising. Nobody sees ads in Queue; you pay us money instead, and we like it that way.
When we share information
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run Queue, and only what each needs to do its job: Google Firebase (database, authentication, and hosting), RevenueCat (subscription management), Segment and Mixpanel (product analytics), Plausible (cookieless, aggregate-only website statistics), Mailchimp (email updates), Postmark (transactional email, like account-related notices), and the third-party data provider that performs LinkedIn profile lookups. Each of these providers is bound to use that information only to provide their services to us.
We may also disclose personal information if required to do so by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the rights or property of Lubin Labs, protect the personal safety of users of the Services or the public, or protect against legal liability.
If Lubin Labs is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be part of the transferred assets. If that happens, this policy will continue to apply to your information, and we will notify you of any material changes.
Your data rights
Deletion: You can delete your Queue account at any time from within the app (or by emailing us). Deleting your account permanently removes your account information and relationship data from our servers. Conversation summaries and email thread details live in your own private iCloud database, which we can’t access — you can stop generating them at any time in the app, and you can remove Queue’s iCloud data through your device’s iCloud storage settings.
Export: You can export your Queue data from within the app at any time. It’s your data; you should be able to take it with you.
Access and correction: You can review and edit your information directly in the app. If you have any other request regarding your personal information — access, correction, deletion, or anything else — email us at support@lubinlabs.com and we will honor it, regardless of where you live.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account exists, so that Queue can keep working for you. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information from our servers. We may retain de-identified, aggregated data that does not identify you.
Security
We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. That said, no internet service can be perfectly secure, and no one can honestly promise otherwise — please keep that in mind whenever you share information online, with us or anyone else.
Children
Queue is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
The Services may contain links to websites we don’t operate or control. This policy doesn’t apply to those sites, and linking to them doesn’t mean we’ve reviewed or endorsed them. Check their privacy policies directly.
Changes to this policy
As Queue evolves, this policy will occasionally need to change. When it does, we’ll update the date at the top, and if the changes are material — especially anything affecting message or call data — we’ll tell you directly in the app or by email before they take effect. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect indicates your agreement to the revised policy.
